Sonu Sood wins heart yet again, mortgages his eight properties in Juhu to raise Rs 10 crore for the needy

Going by the various media reports, Sonu Sood has reportedly mortgaged eight properties in Mumbai, in an effort to raise Rs 10 crore for the needy

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood indeed knows how to win the hearts of the Indians. In these tough times of COVID, Sonu Sood came as a blessing in disguise for the needy, especially for the migrants. 

Now, Sonu Sood has taken one more step to help the needy. Going by the various media reports, Sonu Sood has reportedly mortgaged eight properties in Mumbai, in an effort to raise Rs 10 crore for the needy. Going by the reports of Moneycontrol, the actor has mortgaged two shops located on the ground floor and six flats in the Shiv Sagar CGHS in Juhu. The building is located along AB Nayar Road, near Iskcon Temple in Mumbai.

The lender is Standard Chartered Bank. The agreement was signed on September 15 and was registered on November 24. The properties are jointly owned by Sonu Sood and his wife Sonali and have now been mortgaged in favor of Standard Chartered Bank.

 Ritesh Mehta, Senior Director & Head – West India, Residential Services, JLL India was quoted by the news agency who said, "Such a philanthropic gesture is unheard of. While these premium properties will continue to be owned by the actor and his wife and would continue to receive a monthly rental, they may have to pay interest and principal against the Rs 10 crore loan."
