Tottenham Hotspur’s versatile defender, Eric Dier has justsigned a new contract with the club that is set to keep him at Spurs until2024. The 26 year old player joined the club six years ago from Portugueseside, Sporting CP. Dier has so far made239 appearances for his club and has managed to score 11 times.
He's proven to be an integral part of the squad both as acenter-back and a center midfield player. Jose Mourinho has now persuaded thedynamic player to commit to the club for another 4 years. Mourinho has beenhopeful of extending the player's contract and the club has officiallyconfirmed that a deal has been completed between the club and the player.
The player donning the "Number 15 Jersey" forSpurs had this to say after the deal:
"I am really happy to continue here and commit to thisnew journey we're on. It's crazy to think that I have been here for six yearsnow. I have enjoyed it a lot. It's a fantastic place to be. The club gave me myopportunity in England and it has given me so much since then," he said. "We'vehad some great times together but I want to have even better times and I stillfeel there are a lot of things I need to achieve here before it's over."
