
The much-anticipated South Korean television series Squid Game season 2 is all set to get released on Netflix. This series is created by Korean writer and television producer Hwang Dong-hyuk. The series stars Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-joon, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-shim and Lee Seo-hwan. This season consists of total of 7 episodes.
The storyline of this upcoming season revolves around Gi-hun, who won Squid Game. He gave up on going to the United States and has returned with a new resolution in mind.
In an interview in 2023, director Hwang Dong-hyuk said, “I do have a lot on my shoulders, but I’ll make sure it’s worth the wait.”
Squid Game S2 is all set to get released on 26th December on Netflix. Squid Game Season 2 synopsis reads, “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind, Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk shared his excitement and said, “On the first day, we began shooting Season 2, I remember thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe I’m back in the world of Squid Game.” It almost felt surreal. I wonder how it will feel for you to be back in Squid Game after three years, as well.”
Squid Game S2 will debut on Netflix at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET in the United States whereas international fans can watch it at 12:30 p.m. India Standard Time, 4 a.m. Brazil Time, 8 a.m. UK Time, 9 a.m. Central European Summer Time, 5 p.m. Australia Time and 7 p.m. New Zealand Time.
