The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) would conduct exams for Combined Graduate Level (CGL). It is expected that the exams would commence on August 13, 2021, and would end on August 24, 2021.
This would be the first exam of out four, based on which the Commission would select a candidate to fill 7,305 vacancies. This updated list of vacancies was released by the Commission in February 2021.
These examinations for SSC CGL recruitment 2021 would have four levels. Candidates who are shortlisted in the Tier-1 Exam can appear for the Tier-2 exam, which would have four papers, out of which Paper 1 and 2 are compulsory.

A total of 1216 Central Excise Inspector positions would be filled in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), a total of 500 auditors, 400 Divisional Accountant positions would be filled through this exam in Comptroller and Auditor General of India and 1,085 positions of Tax Assistant would be filled in Central board of direct taxes.

Group C – Pay level-4 (Rs 25500 to Rs 81100):
Posts: Senior Secretariat Assistance, Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBIC, Sub-inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics.
Age Limit: 18-27 years
Group C – Pay level-5 (Rs 29200 to Rs 92300):
Posts: Auditor in Offices under C&AG and CGDA, other ministries and departments; Accountant in offices under C&AG and Junior Accountant.
Age Limit: 18-27 years

Group B – Pay level-6 (Rs Rs 35400 to Rs 112400):
Posts: Assistant, Superintendent, Divisional Accountant in Offices under C&AG, Sub Inspector in NIA, Junior Statistical Officer in Ministry of Statics and Programme Implementation.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.
Group B – Pay level-7 (Rs 44900 to Rs 142400):
Posts: Assistant Section Officer in Central Secretariat Service, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of External Affairs, AFHQ and other ministries, departments and organizations; Inspector of Income Tax; Assistance Enforcement Officer; Sub-inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics and Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics.
Age Limit: 20 years to 30 years.
Group B – Pay Level-8 (Rs 47600 to Rs 151100):
Posts: Assistant Audit Officer in Indian Accounts Department under C&AG.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.
