STF recovered 180 kg heroin, 6 held captive

Fighting against social evil of drugs, Special Task Force Border range has made a vital recovery of drugs from Amritsar last night.

AIG STF Border, Sh Rachpal Singh, under supervision of IG Sh. Kaustubh Sharma informed reporteers that 180 kg of heroine has been recovered from 6 people, who are now under arrest. 

During the police investigation, 6 people along with a citizen of Afghan has been taken into custody. Estimations are being established by the cops that a firm of drugs is running in the Amritsar in which fabricated drugs are prepared which were once previously held by the officers from a house situated near Sultanwind Road in a large amount. Following items are recovered by STF officers:
1)  188.455 kgs of Heroin 

2)  Dextromethorphan 38.220kgs

3)  25.865kg caffeine powder probably used to cut /mix the heroin.

4)  6 Drums of chemical composition weight 207.13kg which are to be tested to confirm the type of material.

STF officers have claimed that most of the drugs are commuted via Afghanistan-Pakistan road, then supplied to India from Wagah-Attari border. 

However, Punjab is not prominent region which gets affected by drugs as it also travels to other western nations like Canada, USA, etc. The Further investigation is on and more details shall be shared later in the day.
