Stunning visuals of leopard’s face trapped in 20ft deep well goes viral

A leopard in Assam found itself in a dangerous situation as it fell into a 20 feet deep well after which it was rescued by forest officials. Now, the visuals of the leopard staring out of the neck-deep water have gone viral on social media.

In the video, that went viral, the leopard can be seen weary after struggling to keep afloat for several hours before being rescued.

The incident took place on Thursday, July 1, in Assam. Villagers of Madhab Nagar on the outskirts of Guwahati were shocked as they heard roars echoing from the well, following which they found a leopard floating inside. The locals immediately contacted the forest department. The leopard was rescued, wrapped in a net in order to avoid chaos and was released into the forest.

“The leopard was then wrapped in a net and was carried into the deep forest and released back into the wild,” said the forest department.

A photograph along with the video of the leopard has gone viral on social media and have received thousands of viewership. In the photo, the leopard can be seen peeking out of the deep-neck water with stunning eyes.

Where some netizens found the view terrifying and many were able to see the poor animal's distress in his eyes, everyone found the picture to be impressive.

Meanwhile, netizens also wondered if it was possible to cover such wells near the forest to prevent the incident from happening again.
