After FIR was filed in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty and others under  IPC Section 306 (Abetment of suicide), Sec 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), Sec 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), Sec 380 (Theft in dwelling house), Sec 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), Sec 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), a huge controversy has taken place.

Patna Police team's presence in Mumbai is raising question on Mumbai Police. As per reports, it has become Mumbai Police vs Patna Police now as Patna Police wants to reinterrogate some of the major personalities, however, Mumbai Police has forbid it to do so as they have already interrogated. Patna Police wants to record the statement of Mitu, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister who revealed that Sushant talked to her and informed about Rhea Chakraborty.

BJP MP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy hailed Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and praised him for giving free hands to Patna Police to investigate in this matter. Swamy tweeted, "I spoke on phone to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. I praised Patna Police & free hand he has given for the thorough investigation& the FIR. Since now there are two probes, I will initiate for a CBI probe. He said he has no objection but wants justice done for Sushant and culprits caught."

Coming live with advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari he also raised questions on Mumbai Police. He also tweeted, "Patna Police has investigated and registered a FIR on several offences SSR mysterious death but Mumbai Police has not got beyond Inquest under Section 174 of Cr. PC and not registered a criminal case reveals the possible mindset of Mumbai Police."

Going by the reports, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has called for an urgent meeting in which DCP Abhishek Trimukhe has been called.
