While the majority of the people have come in support of Republic TV ever since the media channel revealed that India Today's name is present in the FIR, Subramanian Swamy has not extended his support to the Republic channel.
While Swamy's close aides advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari has fully supported the Republic Channel, the BJP Rajya Sabha MP has not extended his support. Swamy took to twitter and revealed the reason why he has no extended his support to the famous anchor Arnab Goswami in the TRP Scam case.
Swamy wrote, "In Twitter, I am asked why I am not in support of Arnab but Ishkaran, Rajalakshmi and other VHS members are supporting him. That is because VHS is a democratic organization and where we have not collectively decided to take a stand, each is free to decide. We are not bhakts."
Responding to a user's comment Swamy called Arnab Goswami a lier. He wrote, " Arnab turned out to be a liar. He had no letter so he lied to please some benefactor. Ask him to produce the letter or apologise publicly. I will forgive him."
Arnab Goswami is under the scanner of the Mumbai Police after the witnesses took the channel's name. The Mumbai Police will soon summon the Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. The Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has also hinted of arresting him and freezing his assets if evidence found.
