After senior ShiromaniAkali Dal patron and Punjab former chief minister Prakash Singh Badal has beengrilled by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Kotkapura Firing Casenow it is the turn of Sukhbir Singh Badal to appear before SIT.
SIT has summoned SukhbirBadal for the interrogation for his alleged involvement in the Kotkapura FiringCase on June 26 (Saturday).
The firing case thattook place way back in 2015 was during the term of SAD’s ruling party in thestate and Sukhbir then was holding the portfolio of the home ministry.
In this case, former DGPSumedh Saini has also been grilled by the SIT.
With these probes, SITstrives to reach the accused that had permitted the district police to openfire at the mob protesting over the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib and towhat extent their action was justified inself-defense and if the standard operating procedure was followed.
