Mastermind behind the Muslim women auction app “Sulli Deals” has been arrested by Delhi Police. So far this is the only arrest made in the case.

Last year the app was launched with the purpose of auctioning Muslim women with photographs sourced without consent and morphed. Sulli Deals and Bulli Bai apps, have just one modus operandi—to upload doctored and morphed pictures of Muslim women without their permission and to pass racial slurs while circulating the images. Both these apps were hosted on the hosting platform ‘GitHub’.

The police apprehended the accused, Aumkareshwar Thakur in a joint effort with the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) in Madhya Pradesh’s city of Indore.

"Om Thakur has been arrested from Indore. He is the main mastermind behind the Sulli deal app case," quoted KPS Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit, Delhi Police Special Cell.
