Entered Bollywood in 1992 with action drama ‘Balwan’ Suniel Shetty made his debut as an action hero. Over the years the 59-year-old actor has made his mark in the genre with movies like ‘Mohra’, ‘Border’, ‘Kaante’ and ‘Sapoot. Not just this the actor played a romantic but not the hero role in ‘Dhadkan’ and the adamant villain's role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Main Hoona na.

In his recent interview with IANS Suniel Shetty shared his way of working, “my problem is not being typecast my problem is playing safe. It is not the subject that affects me as much as the banners you choose to go with like, I will only work with ABC, ‘who’s the director? that means you don’t have your own judgment. Keep aside Ayushmann and Tiger from that lot because they have gone with subjects, directors and not just gone with banners”.

According to him, the new generation actors like Tiger Shroff and Ayushmann Khurrana have created a place for them by sticking to a particular kind of cinema. “ I guess over a period of time, whether it is Ayushmann Khurrana or tiger Shroff they will also start experimenting. What’s very important is to get an image and they have a definite image for themselves. These two names can only be appreciated, hats off to them”, Shetty adds.

His take on the new generation, celebs are that they need to create their own unique style to work. According to him if an actor won’t take any ‘risk’ then he or she is not an actor. Reciting this he recalls his failure and said, “there was a Suniel Shetty who failed after a few years because he believed in the subject but the marketing field”.
