Sunny Deol who is grabbing the headlines around the world for both wanted & unwanted reasons after the release of Gadar 2 stated that he will go back to his roots meaning he will return to his acting career which has been undoubtedly revived by the massive hit of his recently released movie. Not only this, but Sunny Deol also stated that politics has not suited 'Deol family'. Earlier it was his father Dharmendra and now it is him, the Deol family should remain away from politics. Sunny Deol confined that he will not contest the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from any party and that he is bidding farewell to his political career. Below is what the Gadar 2 actor said-

In an interview with a news media, Sunny Deol said, "I don't want to fight any elections as of now, I think my chunaav (election) will be as an actor and I think as an actor I can do desh seva (service to the nation) which I have been doing and I am confident what I can give to the youth, to the country, is being a good actor and bringing out good projects." On being asked if the BJP offers him a ticket for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Polls, the Gurdaspur MP further said, "What I can't do, I don't want to do further and beyond that it is my will. I think it (politics) doesn't suit our family."

Sunny Deol talked about his family by referring his father Dharmendra's political career. For the unversed, Dharmendra was MP from the Bikaner seat as he had won election from the seat in 2004 general elections.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sunny Deol often comes under the scanner on social media for his low attendance in the Lok Sabha. The Gadar 2 actor in his explosive interview finally broke his silence and pointed out the dismal behaviour of the MPs which turns him off to attend the Parliament session. "It's not about attendance for me. When I go there I see, there are people sitting here (Lok Sabha) who run the country, people from all parties sitting here, how do these people behave? We tell others don't behave like this or that, at least we should have the etiquette of how we do and what we do. When I don't see those things, I feel I am not like them, so better I go somewhere where I enjoy and see what I want to see."
