Puneet Dhanda filed this petition about 4 months ago to know the status of the CBI investigation. Puneet had appealed to the Supreme Court to direct the investigating agency to tell them where they have reached in the investigation. The petitioner had also demanded that the investigating agency complete the case within two months. He also demanded to submit the final investigation report to the court.

The petitioner had argued that the court should fix a time limit so that the result could come in time. The petition said - CBI is not acting responsibly and investigation into the case is delayed.
