On the first anniversary of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, playback singer and Indian Idol judge Neha Kakkar posted a video on Instagram. She sung a song Jaan Nisaar from film Kedarnath.

Last June 14, the world of cinema lost a gem, and the country mourned his death for days, weeks, and months. As soon as the news of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's unexpected death became public, a slew of rumours, suspicions, and controversies began to circulate on social media.

Trolls severely attacked several celebrities on social media, igniting a debate about nepotism. Months passed as central investigators tried to figure out what had happened to the actor. In 2021, SSR fans are still using hashtags to memorialise his body of work and his off-screen philanthropic initiatives on social media.

As the first anniversary of the late actor arrived, various celebrities took to social media to send messages and special tributes for him. Neha Kakkar is the most recent to do so, dedicating a video to the star.

The playback singer dedicated a melodious tribute to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on the first anniversary of his death. She sang a song from Jaan Nisar's film Kedarnath, in which he co-starred with Sara Ali Khan. She captioned the video on Instagram with the word "Sushant" and a heart emoticon.

Ankita Lokhande, Sushant's ex-girlfriend and Pavitra Rishta co-star, uploaded a lovely video montage on Instagram with the caption, "This was our journey !!!! Phir milenge chalte chalte" as she marked the first anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput's death. See video here.

Bhumi Pednekar, Sushant's Sonchiriya co-star, shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of her film and commented, "Miss you, your questions and everything we spoke about. From the stars to the things unknown, you showed me the world like I had never seen it before." 

Sushant's family did puja ceremonies for the actor at their residence. To respect the actor, they opted to not record his death date and rather write, "January 21, 1986 - Forever".
