Talibanis rejoice arrival of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in Kandahar city after 20 years

Baradar was warmly received by the Talibani terrorists at the airport. Then a massive convoy of Mullah Baradar left through the city.

Taliban's swift capture of Afghanistan has left the world in fear of impending dangers. Meanwhile, the Taliban head leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has reached Kandahar. The city in the south of Afghanistan is a stronghold of the Taliban commanders. 

It is said that Commando Mullah Baradar arrived in Kandahar in the security cordon from Qatar's C-17 Mahabali aircraft, which has been built by the United States. 

Baradar was warmly received by the Talibani terrorists at the airport. Then a massive convoy of Mullah Baradar left through the city.

  

Roads were blocked by the Taliban fighters holding rifles giving a safe passage for Baradar's convoy. 

A video of Mullah Baradar's caravan is being surfaced on social media, with dozens of vehicles leaving for the city from the Kandahar airport. 

During the possession, hooters were ranging and many onlookers could be seen watching Baradar's caravan getting inside the city.

For the uninformed, Kandahar is the birthplace of the Taliban movement. Therefore, it is said that Mullah Baradar first arrived at Kandahar and not Kabul. 

A Taliban spokesperson has confirmed that Baradar has reached Kandahar city.

  

Mullan Baradar was welcomed by the Talibanis by bursting crackers around several corners of the city. 

He's expected to hold a meeting with former presidents of Afghanistan - Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah, besides other top Taliban leaders.

It's being said that Mullah Baradar who is one of the most powerful leaders of the Taliban organisation is said to be chosen as the next President of Afghanistan. 

Mullan Abdul Ghani Baradar, a co-founder of the Taliban and one of Mullah Omar's most trusted commanders was arrested from Karachi, Pakistan in 2010. Mullan Omar is Baradar's brother-in-law and founding member of the Taliban. 

Mullan was released after serving 9 years in Pakistan jail on the instructions of former President of the US Donald Trump in 2018. 

According to Pakistani media, Baradar alone has initiated talks with then Afghan President Hamid Karzai on a deal that had gone unnoticed by Pakistan and after this Mullah Baradar was put in jail by Pakistan.

Baradar now has emerged as the undisputed leader that led the Taliban to occupy Afghanistan after 20 years of being inactive. 

Baradar's stature is below Taliban chief Haibatullah Akhundzada, however, is considered the hero of the Taliban group.
