Tarn Taran MLA from AAP Kashmir Singh Sohal while addressing the party workers protesting outside City Police Station, said the case registered against them would be canceled, promising to sideline the SSP.

The protested erupted after city police arrested an AAP worker Harpreet Singh earlier for allegedly axing trees on the forest department land illegally.

“It has been brought to my attention that police have lodged a case against our ward in-charge, Harpreet Singh. When I asked the party volunteers, they told me that no one wanted to register the case, but it happened only due to the SSP’s arrogance."

He continued, "All I want to say is that things that happened under the government of other parties will not happen under my tenure. I have warned the police administration to not take any such action in the future,” while addressing party workers in front of the City Police Station.

Sohal went on to say, he will ensure that the SSP will be sidelined, in order to teach him a lesson. The party workers left the spot after receiving assurance from the MLA about the step toward their welfare.

The MLA said that Jaspal Singh has assured him of taking measures in the matter, whatever is deemed necessary. However, Tarn Taran SSP Ranjit Singh Dhillon refused to issue any comments on the matter, and the claims were leveled against him by the MLA.
