Teachers, students motivating people for enrollment in government schools through skits

The Punjab School Education Department is motivating the people for enrollment in government schools through skits and effective use of social media is to spread this message throughout the state.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that the skits of three to five minutes were being prepared by the teachers and students. These skits provide information about the teaching standards of government schools, state-of-the-art technology being used for education in smart schools and beautiful buildings of schools.

These skits are specially promoting the rising standard of English in government schools. These video clips, which are being made to motivate people to enroll their children in government schools, are being disseminated to the public through social media.

According to the spokesperson, these videos are making an enormous impact on the people and their positive results are coming to light. He hoped that the enrollment during the current academic session would be higher than last year.

At the same time, teachers are going door-to-door to inspire people to enroll their kids in government schools. The Department of School Education has already constituted 'Enrollment Booster Teams' to increase enrollment in government schools for the 2021-22 session.

During the last session 2020-21, the department had also launched 'Each One, Bring One' campaign. This resulted in a record 15 per cent increase in admissions in government schools from pre-primary to class XII.
