Taapsee Pannu has been awarded the Best Actor (Female) for Thappad that was released in 2020. The film talked about the unsaid rules of marriage, which is often neglected in reality. The film bagged a couple of awards at the 66th Filmfare Award in several categories, including Best Film. Taapsee has been garnering praises for her performance and choice of role, since the release of the film. The actress has shared her trophy with a short clip of herself walking up to the grand stage of the Filmfare Awards and seen accepting the award from Filmmaker Anurag Basu. Taapsee can be seen hugging Thappad’s director Anubhav Sinha before she walks up to the stage to receive the award.
