Coming back to the real story, In 2021 in an interview with Citti Media, Sudipto Sen, Director of The Kerala Story stated that he reached the numbers of 32,000 forced conversion of Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala based on his conversation with former Chief Minister of the State Oommen Chandy. As per Sen, Oommen Chandy had stated that "every year approximately 2,800 to 3,200 girls were taking up Islam" and so, it worked up to 32,000 in 10 years. Talking about the Indian women lodged in an Afghan jail, the four women had accompanied their husbands to join the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP). Although their parents requested the Government of India for their freedom and bring them back to India, they were not allowed and were left in an Afghan prison.
