This Govt School in Amritsar develops ‘Student Management System’ portal to strengthen parents-teachers bond

The Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, today virtually launched the first of its kind initiative of Government High School, Abdal in district Amritsar that developed a portal named "Students Management System".

Lauding the dedicated efforts being put in by the school headmistress, Deepika Dean and staff for sprucing up the infrastructural facilities, mobilising community participation, qualitative improvement for boosting learning outcomes, enrolment drive etc,  Education Secretary said that the innovative step of starting portal "Student Management System" would go a long way in bringing in positive change in public perception about the government schools.

He exhorted the district education officers and school heads to replicate the unique initiative in other districts and schools.

Deepika Dean, Headmistress, while divulging details said that the "Student Management System" portal has been developed with the sole motive of strengthening the bond between school and parents.

All the 300 student would be provided unique id and password. All the requisite data and information about the students would be uploaded on the portal.

“The students and parents could log in to know about the each and every detail, including,  daily assignments, marks obtained by the students in class tests or house examination, sports activity, notices regarding organising of different activities and programmes. Parents can also send their feedback, suggestions and  grievances”, she said.

Assistant Director (SCERT, Salinder Singh, District Education Officer (Secondary) cum State Coordinator, Enrollment Booster Team, Satinderbir Singh, State Media Coordinator, Parmod Bharti, Deputy District Education Officers-Rajesh Sharma, Harbhagwant Singh, DSM, Balraj Singh, Amardeep Singh Baath, School staff and School Management Committee members of the school were also present in the video conference.
