TheEducation Secretary, Krishan Kumar, today virtually launched the first of itskind initiative of Government High School, Abdal in district Amritsar thatdeveloped a portal named "Students Management System".
Laudingthe dedicated efforts being put in by the school headmistress, Deepika Dean andstaff for sprucing up the infrastructural facilities, mobilising community participation,qualitative improvement for boosting learning outcomes, enrolment driveetc, Education Secretary said that the innovative step of starting portal"Student Management System" would go a long way in bringing in positivechange in public perception about the government schools.
Heexhorted the district education officers and school heads to replicate theunique initiative in other districts and schools.
DeepikaDean, Headmistress, while divulging details said that the "Student ManagementSystem" portal has been developed with the sole motive of strengtheningthe bond between school and parents.
Allthe 300 student would be provided unique id and password. All therequisite data and information about the students would be uploaded on theportal.
“Thestudents and parents could log in to know about the each and every detail,including, daily assignments, marks obtained by the students in classtests or house examination, sports activity, notices regarding organising ofdifferent activities and programmes. Parents can also send their feedback,suggestions and grievances”, she said.
AssistantDirector (SCERT, Salinder Singh, District Education Officer (Secondary) cumState Coordinator, Enrollment Booster Team, Satinderbir Singh, State MediaCoordinator, Parmod Bharti, Deputy District Education Officers-Rajesh Sharma,Harbhagwant Singh, DSM, Balraj Singh, Amardeep Singh Baath, School staff andSchool Management Committee members of the school were also present in thevideo conference.
