'Total Dhamaal' despite releasing on a non-holiday weekend has earned Rs 16.5 cr on its first day which is much more than the trade pandits expected.
The movie boasts of a shiny starcast with Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery, Ritesh Deshmukh and many other prominent Bollywood actors.
The filmmakers were in doubt on the release date as it clashed with the exams of students around the country but it did surprisingly well and earned almost 17 cr.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#TotalDhamaal – non-holiday release – creates dhamaal on Day 1… Biz multiplies as day progresses… Mass circuits rocking… Metros/plexes witness upward trend… Biz should grow on Day 2 and contribute to a big total over the weekend… Fri ₹ 16.50 cr. India biz.”
“The film is toplined by stars like Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Riteish Deshmukh and these are fantastic names to lure the audience. Also, Indra Kumar is a great director. The trailer has been received well too, so I believe it will have a good start at the ticket counters.” said Trade analyst Girish Johar.
