Traders and Industrialists laud CM Mann for the unique initiative of Sarkar Vyapar Milni

Traders and industrialists of Hoshiarpur today hailed the unique initiative of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to hold Sarkar Vyapaar Milni. 

 

President of Vyapaar Mandal Gopi Chand Kapoor thanked the Chief Minister for taking a slew of measures for the welfare of the traders and industrialists of the region. He said that Sarkar Vyapaar Milnis is acting as a pivotal for resolving the pending issues of the trading community. He said that the on-the-spot redressal of the problems of the traders is a unique and unprecedented phenomenon in the history of Punjab polity. 

 

In his address, Deepak Marwaha said that it is heartening that the Chief Minister is here to address the problems of people adding that none of the previous rulers had bothered about it. He lauded the Chief Minister for starting several pro-people policies to benefit the common man and thereby heralding a new era of unparalleled development. He also said that the vision and determination of the Chief Minister for the progress and prosperity of the state.  

 

Responding to it, the Chief Minister announced that Rs 2.5 crore will be issued to the Municipal Corporation for constructing ultra modern building of the fire station. He said that the existing fire station from Railway Road will be shifted and the land will be judiciously utilized for the parking of vehicles thereby removing congestion in market. 

 

Tarun Chawla also said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister the state is acting as a facilitator for the industry and trade. He assured fulsome support and cooperation to the state government for making Punjab a frontrunner in the field of industry and trade. He demanded the intervention of the Chief Minister to make sure that the surface water is available to them for industrial purposes. 

 

The Chief Minister, while responding to his demand, said that the state government is mulling the idea of providing surface water to the industrialists for its use. He said that it will help in saving the groundwater and will facilitate the industrialists in a big way to benefit the industrialists in a big way. He said that a technical committee will be constituted to streamline this process. 

 

Hoshiarpur Industry Area President Sanjeev Singla raised the issue of the development in the industry area to give push to trade and industry. He also lauded the Chief Minister for taking several path-breaking initiatives to give push to the industry in the state. 

 

The Chief Minister said that the Industry area has been handed over to PSIEC and development works worth Rs 1 crore will be started soon. He said that the tenders for these works will be floated in the coming days and the development of the area will be witnessed. 

 

JS Chauhan, from International Tractors, said that the Invest Punjab launched by the Chief Minister is the best single window in the country. He thanked the Chief Minister for the vision and support being provided to the industry sector in the state. He also urged the Chief Minister to intervene to provide a new focal point to the district to meet the growing needs of industry. 

 

Madhusudan Jain said that the state is fortunate to have a visionary Chief Minister in the form of Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that for the first time, the people of state are realizing that the government is working for them. He raised the issues pertaining to the handicraft industry of Hoshiarpur which was renowned the world over.
