Despite failing to concede defeat for a longer time, hedid finally said, "As I conclude my term as the 45th President of theUnited States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achievedtogether. We did what we came here to do and so much more."
In his address he even mentioned about praying for thenew administration and said, "We extend our best wishes, and we also wantthem to have luck -- a very important word."
Trump expressed his love and gratitude for the firstlady, Melania Trump. He said, "First, let me express my overwhelminggratitude for the love and support of our spectacular first lady, Melania. Letme also share my deepest appreciation to my daughter Ivanka, my son-in-lawJared, and to Barron, Don, Eric, Tiffany, and Lara. You fill my world withlight and with joy."
After thanking the people of America and Pence familyamong others, he spoke about the differences or dissent in America. He said,"We must never forget that while Americans will always have ourdisagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, andpeace-loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and bevery, very successful and good. We are a truly magnificent nation."
