Ever since Twitter has shown non-compliant behavior towardsthe new IT rules formed by the Centre, it is consecutively landing in trouble.On Tuesday, the Delhi Police has lodged a fourth FIR against the micro-bloggingplatform over the child pornography content.

The complaints and cases against Twitter started formingafter the platform lost its legal immunity for content posted by users while itwas engulfed in war of words with the Indian government.

Notably, the fresh case has been filed by the Cyber Cellof Delhi Police under the Posco Act and the IT Act followed by a complaint ofthe National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).

NCPCR in its complaint has alleged that restricted orpornographic content involving children was consistently showing up on thesocial media app. Notably, the NCPCR has already raised the concern earlier andhas written two letter-one to the Cyber Cell and the other to the Delhi Policechief. It has also directed Cyber Cell’s senior official to appear before it onJune 29.

Earlier this month, a case was filed against the micro-bloggingsite in Ghaziabad in connection with the tweets on the alleged assault of aMuslim man. The case hearing is due in the Supreme Court as Twitter India chiefManish Maheshwari managed to get protection from arrest on the orders ofKarnataka High Court.

Maheshwari has also been named in another controversialact for presenting an incorrect India’s map on its website showing Jammu &Kashmir, and Ladakh as separate countries. Based on this act, another FIR hasbeen lodged against Maheshwari in Madhya Pradesh.
