Two murders in Jalandhar: One youth's dead body burnt after the murder in Adampur; another's dead body thrown on the banks of canal in Lambada

One murder took place in Singha village of Lambada and the other in Adampur.

In Punjab's Jalandhar district, there have been two murder cases came to light this morning. One murder took place in Singha village of Lambada and the other in Adampur. The youth who was murdered in Adampur was a resident of Upkar Nagar adjoining Lamma Pind. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Lovleen Kumar son Rajinder Kumar. The young man was coming to his in-laws' house in Jalbhay village near Adampur, but he did not reach there for two days.

After Lovleen went missing, his family and relatives searched for him, but no trace could be found. On Monday morning, Lovleen's body was found near the village in Adampur. After killing Lovleen, an attempt was made to burn his body, but the body was not completely burnt. The accused fled after leaving the half-burnt body.

At the same time, another body was found Chitti canal near Lambada. The young man was brutally killed with a sharp-edged weapon. Intoxicants and a bottle of liquor were also found near the dead body.

The identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained. Villagers said that when people left for their work in the morning, they saw the blood-soaked body lying on the banks of the canal. People immediately called the police station Lambda and informed the police. About one and a half hours after getting the information, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body. Now the police has started investigating both matters.
