United Nations General Secretary, Antonio Guteres whileresponding to the unrest after the farmer's tracter parade on Republic daycalls for non-violence and respecting peaceful protests.

Guteres' spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said, “As we say(in) many of these cases, I think it’s important to respect peaceful protests,freedom of assembly and non-violence.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported that over 300 cops areinjured and 22 FIRs have been filed. Many farmers are also reported to haveinjured and are undergoing treatment after the police fired tear gas canistersand charged them with batons.
