
In a bizarre yet surprising incident, a woman from UttarPradesh’s Ghaziabad has given birth to quadruplets in a private hospital just aday after the government proposed a population control draft bill.
Notably, these four babies were born with IVF (In VitroFertilization) technology. According to doctors, both mother and kids are doingwell.
This first in a kind delivery case happened in YashodaHospital located in Nehrunagar of Ghaziabad. The successful surgery was conductedunder the direction of Dr. Shashi Arora and Dr. Sachin Dubey.
Of these four kids, three are boys and one is girl, andthey all are keeping healthy.
As the woman delivered kids just a day after YogiAdityanath govt introduced population control Draft bill, it has left netizens scratchingtheir heads whether this family will be devoid of govt benefits or not. Meanwhile,reports suggest that special exemption has been given for twins in thepopulation control draft bill.
As per the Draft Bill, couples who would have more thantwo children will refrain from government benefits including applying foror getting promotion in government jobs, and receiving any kind of governmentsubsidy along with contesting local bodies elections.
What’s stored in Population Control Draft Bill?
1. Parentsof more than two two-children will not get government jobs
2. Suchparents cannot even contest the local bodies and panchayat elections
3. Namesof more than four members of a family will not be written on ration card
4. Thenew rule will be applicable on men above 21 years of age while for women it is18
5. Asubject related to ‘family planning’ will also be taught in senior secondaryschools
6. Afterthe implementation of the law, if a woman has twins in another pregnancy, thenshe will not come under the purview of the law
7. Therewill be no ban on the adoption of a third child
8. Ifanyone has 2 children with disabilities, then the family will not be deprivedof the facilities on having the third child
9. Governmentemployees will have to give an undertaking that they will not violate this law
