There was a time in my life where I had no jewelry. As I said, there were 6 children in the family of which four daughters and my father are the principal followers. I hardly got anything for my wedding and it was just 14-carat gold.
Talking about singing, Usha further said- 'What was a magical time, when I sang Dum Maro Dum? Let me tell you that this song originally RD Burman wanted me to sing in the film. There is no dispute that Asha ji sang it so brilliantly. They gave me an English section to sing.
