India recently has surpassed Brazil in the number of coronavirus cases. Many states have gone into lockdown and are following strict curfews. However, Haridwar in Uttarakhand is observing Kumbh Mela and a huge crowd gathered, ignoring Covid norms completely.

The actress Soni Razdan took Twitter to express her displeasure over the same incident. She tweeted about the people not following Covid guidelines and protocols at the Kumbh Mela observed this year. In a video shared by Razdan, people can be seen taking a dip in the holy Ganga river. No one is following social distancing and is avoiding wearing masks.

She captioned the video on social media as, “If you want to see a Petri dish for Covid look below.”

"It’s like...hey COVID...C’mon over buddy, God himself is inviting you in! I mean. HOW does India expect to eradicate a virus in this manner?... Docs and health care workers are risking their lives to deal with the fallout. They won’t be able to cope with the fall out of this,” the actress tweeted.

Recently, Soni Razdan’s daughter, actress Alia Bhatt had tested positive for coronavirus. Alia announced the news via social media and had been under home quarantine. Soni Razdan posted her poetic take on corona and wrote, “This is no ordinary wave...it is everywhere. In our houses, in our hair. I’m getting a bit of scare. It’s no ordinary wave...it’s everywhere...don't know how we shall fare...how do we begin to care...about so many here and there...it’s everywhere, it’s everywhere.

The veteran actor is an avid social media user and an opinionated woman. She said that the vaccine should be available for people aging 16 to 40 years. “When it’s the 16 to 40 the age group that’s ‘socializing’ going to work, bars, nightclubs, etc just can’t understand why they aren’t getting the vaccine first,” she wrote.
