Jagdeep Dhankhar Emergency Landing, Jagdeep Dhankhar Amritsar Airport, Jagdeep Dhankhar Amritsar Airport Low Visibility: In a major development, India's Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's flight could not land in Ludhiana due to low visibility on Tuesday. Jagdeep Dhankhar's flight had to be diverted over low visibility due to dense smog. As per reports, Jagdeep Dhankhar's flight kept flying in the sky for about an hour. After this, an emergency landing was made at Amritsar airport.
On Tuesday, the Vice President was to reach Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) located in Ludhiana where an international conference was organized. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also attended it, but the Vice President's plane could not land in Ludhiana. In such a situation, it was decided to land his plane in Amritsar.
Before landing at the airport, this information was given to the Amritsar DC office. After which DC Amritsar Sakshi Sahni and Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar left directly for the airport. Due to VIP movement, the runway was cleared and his plane landed in Amritsar. The Vice President held a formal meeting with the officials. During this time the plane was refueled at Amritsar Airport. Following this, Dhankhar's plane left for Indore.
Responding to, Ravneet Bittu said, "Farmers are not at fault for tampering with nature. Farmers are being pushed, nothing will happen by registering FIR against them and imposing fines or lathi-charge." Bittu further said that both the governments should sit together and resolve the issue. Today, many senior officials and leaders including scientists, and doctors from different countries gathered at PAU on climate. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was to attend the program, but there is such pollution in Punjab that his Ludhiana visit got cancelled.
