The largest electric car maker TESLA has been caught in a controversy after one of its Y Model cars crashed leading to a couple of deaths, while three others suffered major injuries in the Southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
The compiled CCTV footage of the over-speeding TESLA that crashed after the driver lost control of the vehicle on November 5th, has gone viral now.
The video begins with the TESLA car moving slowly near the corner of the road for the park suddenly losing control and passing through the stretch of narrow streets crashing with a motorcyclist and other vehicles on the way before finally coming to halt after it dashes the apartment’s wall.
While talking to Reuters over the video Elon Musk’s owned carmaker said on Sunday, "Police are currently seeking a third-party appraisal agency to identify the truth behind this accident and we will actively provide any necessary assistance,” while raising a cautionary message against believing in any forms of the rumors.
Responding to the video Tesla further added, “The videos showed that the car's brake lights were not on when the car was speeding and that its data showed issues such as there being no action to step on the brakes throughout the vehicle's journey.”

It is not that the carmaker is facing claims of brake failure in China for the first time, the country is Tesla's second-largest market, and the crash was among the top trending topics on social media.
Defending the damage to the company’s reputation the company responded to Reuters while quoting a local court’s verdict over the case saying, a Chinese car owner had been ordered by a court to publicly apologize and compensate the firm after it ruled that comments, he had made to the media about issues with his brakes were inconsistent with the facts and had harmed Tesla's reputation.
