A video of internet sensation and entrepreneur Priyanka Gupta an Economics graduate famous as ‘Graduate Chaiwali’ has gone viral after the Patna Municipal Corporation evicted her tea stall.
In the video, Priyanka is seen crying while reporters ask her about the event. She can be heard saying she didn’t receive any prior notice from the municipal corporation before they took her tea stall down.
In a one-minute-plus video, she was heard saying about a range of issues around employment and the events that unfolded. Talking about the official from the municipal corporation Priyanka said, “Deputy Commissioner Sir from the municipal corporation assured me that my stall won’t be evicted if at all the corporation was supposed to do this he must not have given the assurance.”
She was also talking about the inefficiency and poor regulation of the ‘Mudra Yojana’ which is meant for providing loans from financial institutions to establish small-scale businesses saying they must make the PM Mudra Yojana flexible. She further went on to say I haven't received any assistance from the Bank.
She said, “I am proud of myself I am generating employment, I am giving employment to six people, now what about them?”
When the reporter asked her what is she going to do after this action she said, “Earlier I wasn’t dependent on anyone for my livelihood but now I want a permanent store from the government.”

After the corporation evicted her tea stall with scores of others through JCB, Priyanka approached RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav for assistance. The video was posted on the Twitter handle of UnSeen India.
The fame of Graduate Chaiwali brought southern star Vijay Devarakonda to her tea stall when the latter was in Patna for the promotion of his movie alongside Ananya Pandey.
