West Bengal Class 10th result 2021 declared by the WBBSE. Students can check their scores on the official website – wbbse.wb.gov.in.

On Tuesday, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced the Madhyamik result. All the candidates have passed the board examination of Class 10th. 

WBBSE president Kalyanmoy Ganguly said, this year because of the Covid pandemic, the result was prepared by an alternative assessment scheme. He further continued that 79 students have scored 679 marks out of 700. 

The link for West Bengal Class 10th result 2021 was activated at 10 am and now students can check the result on the official website of WBBSE – wbresult.nic.in, and other 16 alternative websites. The result would be also available via SMS and a mobile application.

This year, more than 10 lakh students are waiting for the result of Class 10th. 

Mark sheets, certificates and admit cards would be given to the camp offices from 10 am onwards. School heads can collect the documents and distribute them to the students. 

The official statement read, “Only their guardians can collect the same from their respective institution with the proper observance of COVID-19 protocols. Sanitizing hands, wearing of masks and proper social distancing has to be maintained in each institution at the time of distribution of the same.” 

Here’s how to check Class 10 results: 

Following are the steps which should be followed to check the result on the official website:

Step 1: Visit the official websites – wbbse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the link which read – “Class 10th result”

Step 3: Enter all the required credentials like roll number and date of birth.

Step 4: Tap on the “Submit” button

Step 5: Your scorecard would appear on the screen, download your mark sheet.

Following are the steps which can be followed to check results via SMS:

Step 1: Type WB10, and then write your roll number 

Step 2: Send it to 542542 or 56263 or 58888. 

This year the declared result was based on an alternative marking scheme. According to the evaluation scheme the Class 10th result was prepared using the marks of Class 9th and Class 10th in 50:50 ratio, 50 percent marks have been given from internal assessment of Class 10th and other 50 percent marks have been given from Class 9th annual result. 

Last year, 86.34 percent of students passed Class 10th and Arithra Pal was the topper in the West Bengal Madhyamik exam with 99.14 percent. She scored 694 marks out of 700. 

In 2020, more than 10 lakh students appeared for the board exams.
