For the unversed, last year multiple videos went viral showing eople unable to stand and acting weird on the streets of the United States prompted a conspiracy theory that they are affected by some “zombie virus”. However, that particular conspiracy theory is turning out to be true today. Now, the question arises what is Zombie Virus and how does it affect humans?

Xylazine, also known as “tranq,” “tranq dope” and “zombie drug”, is the new substance in town that has deadly effects. The drug has sedative-like symptoms – extreme sleepiness, respiratory depression characterize the use of the substance leading to videos of people unable to stand. It is pertinent to mention here that the Zombie Virus has a serious hazardous impact on human health. It leads to the development of rashes, followed by ulcer, and amputation. The drug was first used to cut heroin. Then its presence made its way to Fentanyl- a deadly drug fatal in even very small doses. It has been given the name of the Zombie Drug. It was first found in Philadelphia and moved to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Because xylazine acts as a tranquillizer, higher doses entirely knock users out. Fentanyl cut with xylazine may lead users to pass asleep and wakeup many hours later, in contrast to opioids' blissful semi-awakeness. Anyone who uses drugs in this way increases their risk of becoming hurt, such as from a vehicle accident or a sexual assault.
