Talking to a news portal, Kiku Sharda who plays Chef Dhaniyalal on Netflix's show revealed that the team shot the last episode of Netflix's original ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ on May 1. He stated that even though five episodes of the comedy show have been released so far, eight more will be out soon. This is not the first time Kapil Sharma's fees have grabbed headlines. Many guest celebrities have already joked about Kapil's high-paying salary including Akshay Kumar.
The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on Netflix on March 30, 2024, with Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as the first guests. In the second episode, the actor-comedian welcomed cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer. Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra graced the show’s third episode to promote their film, Amar Singh Chamkila. They were also joined by the director of their movie, Imtiaz Ali.
