As per American media reports, Iam Tongi has Hawaiian roots. Tongi and his family moved from Kahuku, a town in O’ahu, Hawaii, to Seattle due to the rising costs of living on the island. During the American Idol 21 auditions, Tongi was asked the same that why he and his family left beautiful Hawaii and settled in Seattle.
