Who is Myra Carvalho?
Myra Carvalho is a 35-year-old woman who is accused of harassing 29-year-old pop star Harry Styles. As per UK media reports, Myra Carvalho had been staying at a hostel in Earls Court, West London. On Tuesday, Myra Carvalho appeared at Highbury Corner magistrates' court. In the corner court, it was heard she 'pursued a course of conduct, namely harassed, which amounted to stalking causing serious alarm or distress'.
A Court document alleges that Myra Carvalho's actions had a 'substantial adverse effect' on the star's 'usual day-to-day activities'. Furthermore, Myra Carvalho was told she 'knew, or ought to have known, your course of conduct would cause alarm or distress'.
As of now, the 35-year-old woman is remanded in custody and will next appear at Harrow Crown Court on February 20.
A UK media report quoted a source close to the pop-star who said, "Harry was really shaken up. He had spent the start of the month in Anguilla with Taylor and James Corden and he’d had a great break. This happened not long after he had come back. Harry just wants to carry on as normal, but this has been concerning."
