The problems in the Punjab Congress seem to be far fromover as the Channi government is being constantly cornered by its own partyleaders and the top leadership has failed to evolve a consensus among thewarring factions.

Days after taking a dig at Chief Minister Charanjit SinghChanni and Navjot Singh Sidhu over their visit to Kedarnath temple, Jakhar has onceagain cornered Channi for accepting Sidhu demand and removing APS Deol fromAdvocate General’s post.

Jakhar in the tweet, said, “The ouster of a competent yet'allegedly' compromised officer has exposed a 'really' compromised CM. Givingrise to a pertinent question- Whose government is it Anyway?”

Notably, Sunil Jakhar has emerged as strong critics ofthe Channi government and Navjot Sidhu in recent days. Call it rage over “notbeing elected as Punjab CM” or his intolerance over long-standing drama in theparty, Jakhar time and again had raised significant questions.

From commenting on “how congress has forgotten IndiraGandhi’s principles to a tussle between party and former CM Capt AmarinderSingh, Jakhar is clearly indicating that party needs to up its game if wants tocome in power again.

Meanwhile, not only Jakhar, but Congress MP Manish Tewarihas been critical of his government's stand in the matter of jurisdiction ofBSF.

Tewari said in a tweet on Monday, "It has been closeto a month now Central Govt by notification has extended BSF operational remitin Punjab to 50 Kilometres. Why till now notification has not been challengedby Punjab Govt India under Article 131 in Supreme Court of India Is oppositionto it mere tokenism?"
