Punjabi singer & actor Diljit Dosanjh on Thursday broke the internet after his video went viral on social media in which he was seen crying. Diljit Dosanjh broke down during the trailer launch of his upcoming movie Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit Dosanjh who is known for his jolly nature hardly gets broken and that too in front of the media. As a result, fans around the world started to wonder what happened to Diljit Dosanjh or why Diljit Dosanjh broke down. The answer is filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's heart-warming words for the Punjabi singer. Below is what Imtiaz Ali said after which Diljit Dosanjh broke down-
"The way Diljit has performed in a land where everybody is actually scared to even look at him because he is such a big star...... We are talking about a small town in Punjab. The way he was shooting his scenes over there, I am pretty sure he had forgotten who he was, and he used to perform as if he were the real Chamkila. At times, even I forgot that he was not the real Chamkila, but he was Diljit.".
"Sab kehte hai aapne bohot kuch achieve kar liya hai lekin ye bas aapki shuruwat hai... Aap jaha bhi jaaoge, hum bhi aapke saath challenge (Everyone says that you have achieved a lot but I will say that it is only the beginning and you will achieve much more and along with you we will walk beside you)" added Imtiaz Ali, which left the actor emotional.
Notably, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra tried to calm Diljit Dosanjh down who was overwhelmed by listening to such praise from the film-maker.

For the unversed, Amar Singh Chamkila is regarded as one of the best live stage performers that Punjab has ever produced and is extremely popular with the village audience. His monthly bookings regularly outnumbered the number of days in the month. Amar Chamkila is generally regarded as one of the greatest and influential Punjabi artists of all time. However, Chamkila and his wife Amarjot were assassinated along with two members of their band on 8 March 1988. The case remains unsolved.
