The much-awaited Spy-thriller of the year- Heart of Stone was released on Netflix on August 11, 2023, and it reportedly became the most-watched movie worldwide just one day after its premiere. Directed by Peaky Blinders director Tom Harper, Heart of Stone follows a global spy on an undercover mission to protect an artificial intelligence, known as "The Heart". Notably, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt's character Keya Dhawan is a hacker in Heart of Stone. She joins hands with Parker to expose the crimes of the man responsible for her parent’s death. keya is from Pune, India who lost her parents at the age of eight. Will Alia Bhatt return as Keya in Heart of Stone 2?
Well, if the makers strongly follow the storyline, then the answer is yes. (Spoilers Ahead) Alia Bhatt's character in Heart of Stone is quite a strong one. Gadot plays secret agent Rachel Stone. She is a member of an elusive and mysterious group of elite spies known as the Charter. To make you understand, The Charter is the same as the organization Citadel (in the Priyanka Chopra series of the same name). Gal Gadot is on a mission to find Keya Dhawan as she could be a potential threat. When she realises that Parker, played by Dornan, is the ultimate bad guy she had been looking for all along, things take a dramatic turn as Keya and Parker accomplish the mission of stealing The Heart and gaining the power to destroy the world.

At first Keya teams up with Parker as he brainwashed her. However, as soon as Parker's true intentions of killing the members of The Charter, and many innocent bystanders, are revealed, Keya changes teams. She realizes that in the hands of Parker, The Heart is a killing machine; thus, she disables it and informs Rachel of their whereabouts. In the end, Parker ends up dead and Rachel saves her team with the help of Keya. A few weeks later, Rachel is back working with The Charter and visits Keya, who is imprisoned. Rachel informs that she is back with The Charter under two conditions. First, The Heart cannot be the ultimate decision-maker but can only be a tool that aids their instincts. The second condition, Rachel declares, is to surround herself with good people and make a strong team. At this point, she recruits Keya to be a part of The Charter and gives her a ‘Joker’ card.
Therefore, it can be said that Heart of Stone sequel or Heart of Stone 2 is indeed a possibility and Alia Bhatt is an integral part of its star cast.
