Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Monday was summoned by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Mumbai in the criminal defamation case filed by lyricist Javed Akhtar. Kangana has been accused of dragging Javed Akhtar's name in Sushant Singh Rajput's case purportedly and even making false allegations against Akhtar during her interview.

Kangana has been asked to go to the Juhu police station and cooperate in the investigation. Javed Akhtar had filed a criminal complaint against Kangana in November 2020. In the same case, in December 2020, the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court directed the Juhu police to investigate a defamation complaint filed by Akhtar against Kangana Ranaut. After an investigation in the same case, the Juhu police team submitted a report to the court on Monday (February 1). Magistrate RR Khan has issued summons against the actress after seeing the report. Now the next hearing of this case will be on 1 March.

Now, Kangana Ranaut has responded to the summoning, and once again the actress took a jibe at the Bollywood fraternity who remain against her. Kangana on Twitter wrote, "Geedaron ka ek jhund aur ek sherni .... mazaa aayega."
