The family of the slain Hindu leader Sudhir Suri has leveled a grave allegation against Punjab Police that the latter has kept the major Hindu leaders under detention and not let them attend the last rites of Suri.

Terming the development as disturbing the family has raised their demands to release the arrested leaders and until that happens, they won’t cremate the dead leader who was shot in the broad daylight on the 4th of November in Amritsar when he has staging a dharna alongside his fellow supporters.

Addressing the press one of the members of Suri’s family said the “Punjab Police is coward and have taken the custody of our major Hindu leaders citing that their presence will affect the status of law and order here, however, in reality, they have failed to put a gag over the terrorist activities and the dreaded gangsters in the state.”
