Indian actress Yami Gautam who is known for her commercialsof beauty cream recently took her social media account and revealed an unknownstory with her fans. Yami, who is always seen with a beautiful smile and a positivevibe around her, opened up about her skin condition called 'keratosis pilaris.
Bollywood's commercial queen revealed that she was a teenager when diagnosed withKeratosis Pilaris. Yami, in her note on social media also described the skin problem.
About the skin problem she wrote, "For those who haven'thear about this, it's a skin condition wherein you get tiny bumps on the skin. Idevelop this skin condition during my teenager years, and there is still nocure for it."
The actress also shared her pictures which were unedited. Sherecently shot for some images and before they went in post-production, shedecided to post them and reveal about her skin condition with her fans.
She further added, "I've dealt with it for many years nowand today finally, I decided to let go of all my fear and insecurities andfound the courage to love and accept my 'flaws' wholeheartedly. I also foundthe courage to share my truth with you. Phew!"
"I didn't feel like airbrushing my folliculitis orsmoothing that 'under-eye' or 'shaping up' that waist a tiny bit more! And yet,I feel beautiful."
Yami called it a 'liberating' decision'. She considered it achallenging journey from knowing about the condition to the day she posts outin Public. She was overwhelmed by the response on her post.
