BJP Bihar-Elections Nitish-Kumar

Three days before the final phase voting in Bihar, another row has sparked between chief minister Nitish Kumar and BJP star campaigner and chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath over his remark of throwing infiltrators out. The current dispute has triggered speculations on whether everything is well between NDA or not. Nitish Kumar has slammed Yogi Adityanath by saying "who talks like this."

BJP and JDU are engaged in a dispute over the contentious issue of the National Register of Citizen (NRC).

While addressing an election rally in Katihar in support of BJP candidate Tar Kishore Yogi Adityanath said once the NDA government is back in Bihar, infiltrators will be thrown out from the state.

"Modi Ji has found the solution for the infiltration issue… with the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) he ensured the safety of tortured minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The Centre also said that any infiltrator who tries to breach the national security will be thrown out. We will not tolerate anyone who messes with the security and sovereignty of the country."

Nitish Kumar in return has taken a different stand on the issue. “Who will throw out people? No one dares to do that. Everyone belongs to this country and everyone is Indian," said Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar gave this remark while addressing an election rally in Kochadhaman in Kishanganj district. He was seeking votes for the JDU MLA Mujahid Alam.

Nitish Kumar even tweeted that "it is our duty and in our culture to take everyone along. Bihar will only progress then." Nitish Kumar's angry pushback has revealed the ideological contradictions between NDA.

Nitish Kumar was also at outs when he said that implementing NRC nationwide was needless.

Seemanchal region comprises Katihar, Purnia, Araria, and Kishanganj and will undergo voting on 7th November. The Seemanchal area is a Muslim-dominated area and therefore the issue of NRC has once again become the talking point here.
