A youth from village Randhawa in bholath sub division living in Manila was killed in gunfire. The 27-year-old youth had gone to Manila abroad four years ago. Someone known informed the youth's family from Manila on Wednesday evening about his death to relatives in India.
The father of the deceased youth, Prem Singh, a resident of Randhawa village, sadly mentioned that their son Nishan Singh went to Manila four years ago, thinking of changing the family's circumstances. On Wednesday, they received a phone call from someone known in Manila that Nishan Singh had been shot by someone and died there.

According to his father, after returning from work, his son was sitting at a restaurant in the Eglise city in the evening with his friends. At that time, a person came riding a bike and as soon as he arrived, he shot Nishan Singh in the head and fled away. Nishan Singh died on the spot.
The MLA of Bholath constituency, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, also severely condemned the incident. Meanwhile, the relatives have demanded the government to bring back the deceased's body to India as soon as possible.
