On the 38th anniversary of Operation Blue Star, various pro-Khalistan demonstrations and parades were carried out in Punjab. Khalistan supporters on Monday took the roads to show their strength and also shouted the 'Aazadi' slogan. Now, former AAP leader and poet Kumar Vishwas has lambasted the Punjab State Government which did not stop these demonstrations and slogans. Pro-Khalistan parade Punjab viral video has been doing rounds on social media ever since Kumar Vishwas shared it on his Twitter handle.

Kumar Vishwas on Monday took to his Twitter handle and shared a video in which pro-Khalistan demonstrators carried out a parade in the State of Punjab raising the infamous 'Aazadi' slogan. In the Punjab Pro-Khalistan viral video, people can be seen raising the slogan of 'Aazad' suggesting the independence of Punjab into a nation called 'Khalistan'. Kumar Vishwas' Punjab Pro-Khalistan viral video raised many eyebrows as the parade was carried out in the presence of the State Police.

Sharing the video on his Twitter handle, Kumar Vishwas expressed that this is today's Punjab and he had already flagged this situation in the past. Vishwas was referring to old remarks in which he had said that AAP Supremo and Delhi CM had expressed his wish to become the Prime Minister of a separate nation of Sikhs i.e. Khalistan. In the video demonstrators can be heard shouting 'Punjab Banega Khalistan', Assi Leke Rahengey Aazadi' and more.

About Operation Blue Star

For the unversed, the 1984 Operation Blue Star was the biggest internal security mission ever undertaken by the Indian Army. The Operation was Indira Gandhi's solution to the law and order situation in Punjab prevalent at that time due to the rise of the Khalistan movement. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India had ordered troops to remove Sikh militants who were accumulating weapons in the Harmandir Sahib Complex (Golden Temple) under Operation Blue Star - which was carried out between June 1 and June 8, 1984, in Amritsar.

In the 1980s, Khalistan supporters had sought cover in the Akal Takht complex in Amritsar's Golden Temple. The Blue Star operation was specifically aimed to eliminate Sikh leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who took over the Akal Takht complex in Amritsar's Golden Temple.
