Delhi Crime: Season 3 Trailer showcased Vartika Chaturvedi luckily busting a truck filled with 20 women who are being trafficked to Delhi from Northeast.
The trailer further showcases that a woman leaving a 2-year-old baby in AIIMS Trauma Centre in New Delhi and fleeing the spot. The Doctors find out that the baby has severe and shocking injuries. During the course of investigation, Vartika Chaturvedi and her team link both the cases and try to bust a major human trafficking case.
As per reports, Delhi Crime Season 3 is inspired by true events on real life Baby Falak Case that went onto to become a human trafficking case.
Real life Baby Falak Case
As shown in the trailer, in real as well, 2-year-old baby Falak was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre in New Delhi in 2012. The baby was reportedly suffering from a fractured skull and human bite marks on her body. She was brought to the hospital by a 15-year-old girl who claimed to be her mother.
The girl told the doctors that the baby had fallen from bed. She was admitted with a fractured skull, broken arms, human bite marks all over her body and cheeks that had been branded by a hot iron.
Baby Falak died on 15 March 2012, after a cardiac arrest, her third in three months.
Thereafter , the Union Home Ministry sought a report from the Delhi Police and termed it as a case of human trafficking.
In this case, 10 people were arrested along with a man named Rajkumar. Rajkumar was accused of abandoning the baby along with his teenaged girlfriend Lakshmi.
As per reports, the girl herself was the victim of abuse. In 2012, the teenager was arrested Falak's five-year-old brother was also traced from the house of a vendor in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar locality while her sister Sanobar was traced by Delhi Police from Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
