After the massive global success of Dexter, the makers have renewed the series. In India, Dexter: Resurrection started streaming on Amazon Prime Video on July 11.

In the first week, only two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection were released. Remaining episodes will be released on weekly basis.

Recently, Dexter: Resurrection Episode 3 aired on Prime and it showcased the end of serial killer in New York infamous as 'The Dark Passenger'. For Dexter, 'The Dark Passenger' is 'The Imposter' as he stole his name.

Dexter: Resurrection: Real Life serial killer who targeted cab drivers

Although not in New York, there is a real-life serial killer in India who used to target cab drivers.

As per reports, in July 2025, a serial killer who targeted cab drivers and sold off their vehicles was arrested after 24 years. The Delhi Police crime branch arrested Ajay Lamba, who was wanted in four murder-cum-robbery cases. He was on the run for over two decades.

Lamba and his accomplices would hire taxis and travel to Uttarakhand. They would then sedate the driver, choke him to death and dispose of the body in the hills. The cab would be smuggled across the border and sold in Nepal.
