Nowadays, Netflix’s ‘Untamed’ has been gaining immense popularity and people across have been wondering whether this fictional crime drama series is fictional or real-life inspired, as it features Yosemite National Park, California, US.
Notably, the series is purely a fictional crime drama series and is not a focused documentary about a real-life disappearance case. However, it is to be mentioned that the series does draw inspiration from real-life investigations conducted by the National Park Service’s Investigative Services Branch as well as mysteries around Yosemite.
The show inspires the adventures of Special Agent Kyle Turner, who goes to solve the death of a woman who fell down at El Capitan and the case of his son, who had gone missing at the park five years earlier. Turner discovers a murder-for-hire plot in Yosemite and a drug business.
The show has presented some inspirational comments about real-life aspects of Yosemite and the life and work of park rangers and investigators, but it is not a true story; it is a work of fiction. The writers of the show have spoken to National Park Service workers in order to tell them about their vision of people and their job.
Season 2 of Netflix's Untamed has not officially been renewed yet, but that fact did not prevent any of the cast or creators from saying all about it as though it is an inevitability.
Bana told Variety, in an interview, that he and creator Mark L. Smith “discussed what would happen to Kyle, after this, in theory.” On top of that, Smith has revealed that he already has an outline of what Turner is up to after leaving Yosemite with Netflix Tudum. We are not going to put Turner in an environment where he belongs; we are going to put him in a world where he does not know all the dangers and the risks, and he does not know the people around him, said Smith. He will be somewhat backfooted, somewhat uncertain, and he will have to learn as well.
Even more explicit than her co-star and series creator, Santiago set out during an interview with TV Insider. The actress behind Vasquez said, "People ask me when I would like to see more murders solved on the show, in a season 2 - I say, as much as possible."
More murder still? “Well, I would dearly love to see her called up to go elsewhere,” she went on. “Take me to a mountain in Hawaii. I hope it involves new murder, new setting, harsh wilderness ailments, and new stuff to be informed about,” she added further.
