A new teaser of Maharani Season 4 was released on SonyLiv a few days back and ever since then it has been buzzing among fans. Maharani Season 4 is among the most awaited political drama that fans are waiting to watch. Set in the backdrop of Bihar politics, Maharani Season 4 is said to be inspired by multiple real life political happenings in the state.

Created by Subhash Kapoor, Maharani Season 4 Teaser showcase Rani Bharti at loggerheads with Prime Minister of India. For the unversed, Rani Bharti's character is played by Huma Qureshi, while actor Vipin Sharma plays the character of Prime Minister of India.

Maharani Season 4 True Story

There are reports that suggest that the character of Rani Bharti is inspired by none other than former Bihar CM Rabri Devi. Fans drew parallel in season 1 when Rani Bharti was made CM of Bihar despite being uneducated by her husband Bheema Bharti played by Sohum Shah.

However, the entire series is not based on real life story as the story does not resemble to the political happenings of Bihar as it happened.

Since, Rani Bharti's character is inspired by Rabri Devi, True Scoop tried to dig whether she challenged the Prime Minister during the early 2000s or not.

Interestingly, multiple hits were found related to this. During the 1999-2000, Rabri Devi was at loggerheads with the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Vajpayee was vocal to dismiss the RJD government in Bihar due to worsening law and order.

As per Deccan Herald, as prime minister, Atal Bihar Vajpayee dismissed the then Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi's government in February 1999 and imposed President’s rule after 12 people were killed in Jehanabad in caste related crime. This was one decision he had to revoke within a month.

Notably, the RJD regime in Bihar is said to be a Jungle Raj, which means lack of law and order in the state.

When did the term Jungle Raj was first coined?

During the hearing of Fodder Scam case, the Patna High Court had remarked, orally, that "there is no such thing as a state government in Bihar, and jungle raj prevails, with a handful of corrupt bureaucrats running the administration.'

This was the first time when the term Jungle Raj was used. And ever since then, the opposition parties use this term to attack the RJD party in Bihar.
